Life in the Fast Lane

On the interstate I often when younger passed trucks and cars going 90 plus MPH, but I eventually found out that I did not get ahead of them for long They would just pass me on down the road when I stayed withing the speed limit Is that not how we try to live today Get as much done as quickly as we can I have almost been run over by people in such a rush to get a candy bar My personal pace is a lot slower now than it was even 5 years ago Whatchamacalits are great candy bars, but rushing to get one Not for me I allow for God to set my pace and He is in no rush He builds foundations, not fast lanes It is the original Rock I have built on That solid rock mentioned in the hymn and all the storms of life can knock down what I build on it, but the Rock remains steadfast and sure Are you caught up in the fast lane? or do you have a story of standing on the Rock to share?
